If our workshop space is not being used for a scheduled class, you are welcome to create here in our well lit and air conditioned work space!

A new class has been added…duh…it’s springtime and we are all itching to get in our gardens! Join Amanda for the popular ‘Garden Waterfall’ from 1-4pm on Saturday. Class is $25 and includes all the wire, copper connector and steel rod. You provide the beads and crimp beads!

Our Bead Camp has grown into a wonderful weekend that is held 3x a year at the historic DeKoven Center on the shore of Lake Michigan.
Each winter, spring & fall we host one of the most fun filled weekends of the year and draw participants from the local area as well as from 7 states (so far!)
Bead Camp offers a few classes so you can learn new things, loads of time for working on projects you’ve started but never finished, or ones you’ve always wanted to do! Our facility is filled with light and history – originally a college built in the 1860’s! The antiques, art and craftsmanship throughout the building is inspiring! All of your meals & lodging are provided. While we often have fun field trips people can join in if they choose, you never have to leave our amazing space! Meals, rooms, classes and our bead room are all located in the same building. We laugh a lot. We watch a movie while we bead on Saturday night. We even take a shopping run to the bead store in our pajamas after hours.

Start your weekend out with a summer fun at Downtown Racine’s First Fridays! All the charming shops are open until 9pm – with lots of specials and artist demonstrations! Three live bands entertain as you wander or take a horse drawn carriage ride through the historic district. At Funky’s you can enter to win a free class, see neat jewelry making demonstrations and see our latest class offerings! Free admission at The Racine Art Museum and glass blowing demonstrations at Hot Shop Glass will surely round out your evening before you head in to one of the delightful restaurants for a late night bite.

Mark your calendar for April 15-17, 2016 for our Spring bead camp for grown-ups held at the historic DeKoven Center, just a few miles south of Funky’s, on the shore of Lake Michigan. Registration opens Wednesday, March 9th!!!
Spring has sprung and we have some fun new plans up our sleeve for this camp including a beach walk at the Wind Point Lighthouse (collecting for our Sunday make-n-take), our fabulous massage therapist returns and by request, chair yoga for bead people! Camp also coincides with downtown’s new ART WALK…so if you are inclined to pop in and see some fabulous art, meet other cool artists and see demonstrations of lots of cool stuff, you’ll have a chance for a little outing late Saturday afternoon!
