Mark your calendar for April 15-17, 2016 for our Spring bead camp for grown-ups held at the historic DeKoven Center, just a few miles south of Funky’s, on the shore of Lake Michigan. Registration opens Wednesday, March 9th!!!
Spring has sprung and we have some fun new plans up our sleeve for this camp including a beach walk at the Wind Point Lighthouse (collecting for our Sunday make-n-take), our fabulous massage therapist returns and by request, chair yoga for bead people! Camp also coincides with downtown’s new ART WALK…so if you are inclined to pop in and see some fabulous art, meet other cool artists and see demonstrations of lots of cool stuff, you’ll have a chance for a little outing late Saturday afternoon!

Learn how to do the latest bead crochet stitch that was featured on the February 2016 Bead & Button magazine cover! On April 2nd, our Indiana friend Candy Sexton will be back in town to teach us how to make this beautiful bracelet using the Single Stitch Bead Crochet technique. No prior bead crochet experience is necessary to take this class. You will learn how to crochet using this technique, how to add thread and finish your piece. Join us for a fun day! Beginning Bead Crochet
Friday January 29th 10am-2pm
Take the mystery and frustration out of crocheting with beads in this fun class with the wonderful Candice Sexton! You’ll create a great bracelet, learn to include a focal bead if you choose, and master beginning and ending like a pro. We’ll have you string up your beads easily before class so that class time is all about crochet! Candice is a fabulous instructor! She is the author of Bead Crochet Basics and happens to be the designer of the cover project in the February issue of Bead & Button magazine. Don’t miss the chance to learn from this talented and fun artist.
