Attention Moms and Dads of creative tweens! Funky Hannah’s Bead Makin’ Camp 2014 is just around the corner! We’re offering two sessions for you to pick from – July 7th – 11th and August 4th – 8th from 9am-noon. Each day features a different project designed to teach jewelry making skills and inspire creativity. Perfect for ages 9-13. Cost is $125 per week, all inclusive. This Sunday, April 6th, we are excited to host Sara Lukkonen of C-Koop Beads. Sara will be teaching Torch Enameling from 10am – 1pm and Riveting Enamels from 2-5pm. Each class is $120. Supplies are included except for your yellow MAPP gas canisters which are available at Menards, Home Depot, etc. You won’t want to miss this fun day! Funky Hannah’s is looking forward to welcoming the Loose Bead Society of Greater Milwaukee to Racine this weekend! The LBS members will be in town for their Spring 2014 Retreat. While here they will be enjoying hands-on glass beadmaking, as well as a private shopping party with appetizers here at Funky’s.

Twice a year, Downtown Racine opens its doors to host artists displaying all genres of art; from sculptures to sketches and everything in between. Join us on Saturday, November 16th from 5-9pm. At Funky Hannah’s we’ll be featuring work by our very own Funky Joann!
Joann Haas has been a beading, wire and metals artist for the past 10 years. She has studied with amazing instructors throughout Wisconsin and experiments with loads of different techniques to create her unusual jewelry. From enameling, copper etching & patina and soldered steel, Joann creates one of a kind jewelry you will love for yourself or as a gift for a fun & funky friend.
